Department Description

The Laboratory of Molecular Genetics and Immunology is focused on dissecting the cellular and molecular mechanisms governing the generation of antibody specificity and the translation of that specificity into cellular responses. Our work seeks to identify the genetic components that initiate B cell activation upon antigenic challenge, the controls that maintain tolerance both centrally and in the periphery, and the mechanisms that govern the coupling of antibody specificity to effector cell response.

Detailed Description

The Nurse Practitioner will work directly with the research team as a co-investigator of a phase I clinical trial. Responsibilities include enrolling participants and conducting study visits in accordance with the IRB-approved protocol while adhering to GCP Guidelines and creating and maintaining comprehensive IRB/other regulatory submissions. Will compile clinical and laboratory data collected that will include interfacing with the electronic trial master file and participating in team meetings to discuss participants. Will also assist in the recruitment of study subjects.

Job Requirements

Master's degree required. License to practice as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner in New York State and current nurse practitioner registration required. CCRC Certification preferred; research coordinator and/or clinical study experience preferred. Must have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner working in a hospital setting. Must have NYS Registered Professional Nurse license and current RN registration. Must be highly proficient in computer skills and technology, including database management.
